Dr. Sahar Ismail is a civil engineer, assistant professor, and researcher with extensive experience in structural and geotechnical engineering. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and has collaborated with several universities on multidisciplinary research projects. Her work focuses on accidental loadings, structural health monitoring, seismic soil-structure interaction, offshore pipelines, and advanced numerical modeling. Dr. Ismail has been actively involved in the assessment and monitoring of the Beirut Port Silos following the 2020 Beirut explosion, contributing to studies on their structural performance and resilience. She has authored and presented numerous scientific publications at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to her research activities, she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring engineering students. Dr. Ismail is passionate about promoting innovation in engineering and encouraging women to pursue careers in STEM fields.
